EXPERTISE
In the heart of our creations
NEW CHAPTER
Thai craftsmanship
A year and a half ago, we embarked on an evolution for Maison Dorée. Our desire to innovate and strengthen our brand led us to collaborate with a new workshop, located in the heart of Bangkok, for our new collections.
We chose Thailand to manufacture our jewelry for several reasons, including the quality of the components (raw materials and gilding), as well as its artisan heritage and recognized expertise in the jewelry field. The country excels in the art of marrying contemporary designs with traditional techniques, thus combining tradition, quality, creativity and ethics. What's more, Thailand respects European environmental standards and takes care to protect individuals. This decision enables us to offer exceptional pieces while supporting local craftsmanship and adhering to the values we hold dear.

FROM DRAWING TO REALITY
Design and prototypes
It all starts with Chloé, who puts her ideas into shape on computer and paper by creating sketches of future models, reflecting her inspiration and vision. Once the sketches are finalized, they are shared with the graphic artist, who transforms them into CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models for greater precision.
The process continues with the wax. CAD models are converted into wax prototypes, carefully attached to a tree. These prototypes are essential for visualizing the jewel in its initial form.
THE ART OF CUTTING
When metal comes to life
Our workshop uses recycled brass for our jewelry, then the molten metal is poured into plaster molds, capturing every detail of the imagined piece. Once casting is complete, the metal shaft is removed from the furnace. At this point, the pieces are cut out one by one, ready for the next stage. This is where the expertise of our craftsmen comes into play.
REVEALED BEAUTY
Perfecting details
Each piece is entrusted to our artisan jewelers, who carry out the necessary repairs and fine-tune the finishing touches, drawing on their expertise and attention to detail. Their know-how is essential to guarantee the quality and aesthetics of each piece.
SUBLIMATING OUR JEWELS
The Essence of Gilding
The pieces are then plated to obtain their final color. Gilding is done with 18-carat fine gold for a golden finish, while silver plating is done with 925 silver for a silver finish. The jewel is immersed in an electrolytic solution, and an electric current is applied. This deposits a uniform layer on the surface of the jewel. A protective treatment, e-coating, is then applied in the form of a special varnish, designed to prevent oxidation and preserve the brilliance of the finish.
Attention to detail & Passion
During our visit to the workshops, we were impressed by the patience and precision of the craftsmen. We had the opportunity to witness the creation of our flagship earrings, "ADRIANA", set by hand.
REFLECTING LIGHT
Jewelry setting
This is a crucial and meticulous step in the process of creating our jewels, with each stone carefully placed. Thanks to the setting, the stones come to life, bringing sparkle and brilliance to the jewel, while reflecting light in a way that enhances the overall design.
THE FINAL SPARKLE
The polishing process
The final step is polishing, which gives the jewels their shiny finish. This process allows the jewelry to catch the light from all angles, highlighting the details of the design.
Quality control
Quality control begins at the end of production. Before leaving our workshops, each piece of jewelry undergoes a meticulous visual inspection to ensure that it meets our standards of conformity, quality and finish.
At Maison Dorée, each piece of jewelry is much more than a simple accessory, it's a story to be worn. By collaborating with this new workshop, we combine traditional Thai craftsmanship with our creative vision.
